Inside San Diego’s Most Stunning Theatre, A New Ballet Performance Is Wowing Audiences — And It’s Unlike Anything You’ve Seen Before

Steeped in centuries of myth and imagination, Sleeping Beauty tells a story where time pauses, and dreams hold their breath. Rooted in medieval legend and refined through Perrault’s poetic touch, it speaks to the triumph of light over darkness and love over despair. Beneath the fairytale charm lies a meditation on fate, resilience, and the quiet awakening of hope that waits, patiently, for its moment to bloom.

Ballet of Lights is an innovative stage show that reimagines classic ballets, such as Sleeping Beauty and Peter Pan, by combining traditional choreography with the visual spectacle of glow-in-the-dark costumes and tutus interwoven with lights. Dancers perform in a darkened theater, and their luminous costumes create an enchanting display of color and light with every movement, captivating the audience as they perform their stories.

For an evening of enchantment,  you can join in that spirit and escape into the world of Ballet of Lights, a dazzling performance that invites you to rediscover your sense of wonder. With shows at 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., you can pick the time that suits you best — and even plan for pre-show drinks or a late bite afterward.

Tickets are available in several seating categories based on how close you’d like to be to the stage, with spots assigned on a first-come, first-served basis within each section.
