There’s An Enchanting New Candlelight Venue Coming To San Diego This Summer

Imagine being swept away by classics inside a historic and elegant church.

These enchanting candlelight concerts are returning to San Diego with a brand new venue this summer. Enjoy live classical music at Chapel and be transported to a different time, surrounded by hundreds of flickering candles in a church that was built as far back as the 20s.

For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.

Chapel, once a place of worship for sailors back in the 20s, is now a renovated space by the Liberty Station Park. Starting in July, Beethoven’s Best Works will be played by a talented string quartet while the venue is bathed in flickering candlelight. Classic renditions of movie scores will also be performed towards the end of the month, with soundtracks from memorable favorites like Indian Jone, Star Wars, and Beauty and the Beast. Other fabulous musical events at The Chapel will be The Best of Pop on Strings, A Tribute to Queen, From Bach to The Beatlesand Magical Movie Soundtracks! Imagine the sounds of classical renditions echoing throughout this high and ornate space. Sounds like a magical experience.

But Chapel’s not the only place you can experience the magic. J11, San Diego’s downtown event space in East Village, with 6,000 square feet and 20′ foot ceilings, perfect for a socially distanced and relaxed evening. J11 Event Space is adjacent to popular spots in San Diego like Petco Park, the Marina, and the wildly fun Gaslamp Quarter.

There’s also Seaport Village, bringing you stunning candlelight mixed with beautiful seaside views. Seaport also has high and casual eateries, shopping, and much more. Listen to the sounds of magical movie soundtracks, a talented string quartet playing classical renditions of Bach to Beatles and classical pieces to celebrate the Day of the Dead.

Catch the 7:15pm or the 9:00pm shows, where doors open 30 minutes prior to the start of the performances. Performances last around sixty minutes so that’s one hour to unwind, sit back, and allow yourself to be swept away in the classics.

Get ready San Diego! This spring and summer season are looking up and you’ll want to make sure you’re along for the ride.

Don’t miss out on an incredible night and get your tickets here!
