Located in the beautiful Pacific Beach, Captain’s Quarters must be one of the most stunning bars in the area. Once you step in, you’ll feel like you just entered an abandoned ship – a beaaaauuutiful one! The chic decor is stunning, the drinks are amazing, and don’t forget to look out the windows – here, the skies are always blue, the water’s always clear, and the sunsets are always wonderful shades of red. What else could one wish for?!
Haunted Ship Takeover at Captain’s Quarters
If your answer to that was ‘how about a spooky Halloween takeover?’, you’re in luck. And even if it wasn’t…we don’t always get what we want, but we get what we need. Head over to Captain’s Quarters anytime between now and November 2 and enjoy this fun – and elaborate! – Halloween takeover. Immerse yourself in this space taken over by deadly spirits of pirates long gone, bound to their treasure and ship for eternity.
The decor and vibes aren’t the only thing that’s different! The bar also prepared limited edition cocktails, such as Spooky Island, Goth Girlfriend, Team Edward, Toil & Trouble, Basic Witch, Captain’s Curse, Shooter Trick, Treat, and the alcohol-free Eternal Elixir. Yeah, they’re as good as the names.
Alongside, you can enjoy small yet delicious plates like Burrata Donuts, Za’atar Friend Chicken Nuggets, Fried Pickles, and other fun choices.
Oh, and don’t miss their Happy Hour, between Sunday and Thursday, 5 -6 PM.
Their story

Ever since The Grass Skirt started in 2016, owner Matt Spencer has been obsessed with the cute little spot right next door. Since The Grass Skirt is all about getting lost in a fun fantasy, it was practically a given that he’d eventually open a quirky sister venue. He wanted to create a sleek, elevated cocktail experience – and just like that, Captain’s Quarters was born. The concept is straight out of a 17th-century ship’s literal captain’s room, promising a high-end, dramatic adventure on the water.
