This Tokyo-style listening bar is the newest SD hot spot
Convoy Music Bar is a stunning Tokyo-style listening bar that opened its doors in 2022. This dimly lit spot is located in a popular Kearny Mesa plaza around the back of O’Brien’s pub. You’ll find the entrance at the alley behind the strip mall. This intimate Tokyo-style listening bar is the perfect spot for your next big date night.

San Diego has another great speakeasy and cocktail bar now that Convoy has opened. Convoy Music Bar only takes walk-ins. Parking can be challenging during peak weekend hours, so you might have to park your car down a few streets if the plaza is full.
Once you manage to park, you’ll walk up to the door with the “On Air” sign above it and knock on the mysterious door. Depending on the night, you can expect to wait a bit, so we advise getting there early if possible. The decor is so slick and elegant, and the atmospheric lofi music really sets the mood for a memorable evening.

Their cocktails are top-notch, and we highly recommend Saturn, Fugue State, and True Affection. The knowledgeable staff offer fantastic service and will definitely help you pick a delicous drink. Their cocktail program is designed meticulously with an emphasis on Japanese Whiskey and sophistication.

This is an ideal spot to impress vinyl enthusiasts since they have an eclectic mix of unique gems. Convoy is inspired by the listening bar in Tokyo. So they take music and sound incredibly seriously. They have a one-of-a-kind custom-built sound system they imported from Japan.
Walk-in guests are welcomed on a first-come, first-served basis, and their last call is at 1:30 am.
