What to expect at Dining in the Dark?
Dining in the Dark will change the way you approach a food tasting. With the sense of sight eliminated, the theory is that the other senses—namely taste, smell and touch—take over to elevate your meal to a whole new level.
Upon arrival, the waiters will hand you a blindfold (deep-cleaned after every use) and then you’ll be led to a darkened and candlelit room, where a delicious three-course meal awaits to be devoured. Depending on your preference, the meal will feature meat, seafood or veggies, which you’ll be able to choose at the moment of purchase. While we can’t disclose the menu, you can expect fresh and tangy bites, strong Oceanside flavors or Asian-inspired plates, all prepared with fresh and local ingredients.
Eating while blindfolded is no easy task so there are really no judgments here. Whether you prefer eating with your hands to discern the ingredients or want to stick to cutlery to make the degustation easier, it’s totally up to you. The important thing is you have fun and hopefully heighten your culinary experience.
