What to expect at an open rehearsal for the San Diego Symphony
The San Diego Symphony is opening select rehearsals to the public, giving visitors a unique opportunity to watch world-class musicians.
Because these are working rehearsals, the experience is a bit different from a polished evening show:
- A work in progress: expect pauses, repeated sections, and real-time adjustments as the conductor and orchestra practice.
- Flexibility: rehearsal schedules may change or be canceled without prior notice.
- Cost: admission is completely free.

- August 21 & 22: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone™ in Concert.
- August 30: Tchaikovsky Spectacular, concluding with the famous 1812 Overture pyrotechnic finale.
