The iconic Miramar Air Show is back!
City officials revealed on Tuesday that after two years, this amazing San Diego tradition coming back on September 23-25. According to the Marines, the Miramar Air Show is the biggest military air show in the world!

In a press release issued this Tuesday Col. Thomas M. Bedell expressed his excitement for this long-held tradition to take place again. “It’s been almost three years since MCAS Miramar was able to open its doors to our neighbors and share in our love of aviation.” This year’s theme is called Marines: Fight, Evolve, Win. The air show tends to draw in a crowd of over 500,000 guests so expect a fun-filled celebration. It is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a spectacular free show. The festivities are currently scheduled as follows:
The gates will open at 8 am. Then from 10-11 am there will be a civilian performance. The opening ceremony will take place soon after, from 11- 11:45 am. From then until 3 pm there will be more showcases to enjoy performed by both military and civilians. From 3:00- 4:45 pm get ready to see the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and Fat Albert! Finally, the gates will close at 5 pm.
Col. Thomas M. Bedell also stated, “We are proud to call America’s Finest City home and bring back one of the world’s most anticipated aviation exhibitions,” and we couldn’t agree more!
