This Oceanside gem was named a “new discovery” by the Michelin Guide in 2020. Dija Mara is known for its blend of Southeast Asian flavors and Western flair, culminating through Japanese cooking techniques to create a unique Balinese-inspired menu. You have to try some of their signature dishes like beef short rib rendang.

This Oceanside eatery is every sushi lover’s dream! You’ll find both traditional favorites as well as innovative dishes. The quality, however, is outstanding throughout the menu.

3. Miramar Fish Tacos & Beer
As the name suggests, this spot is all about fish tacos and beer! What else do you need? Their delicous fish tacos have developed a bit of a cult following over the years, and after having one (or three), it’s easy to see why. They serve Mexican seafood dishes like seafood cocktails, tostadas, and incredibly refreshing aguachile!

4. Petite Madeline Bakery & Bistro
Opened in 2011, Petite Madeline opened in 2011 and has since been spoiling Oceanside with delicious bakery goods as well as delicous brunch and lunch menus! Chef and owner Christine Loyola’s menu reflect the freshest seasonal ingredients.

It’s easy to call your restaurant a local’s spot. However, Chef Daniel Pundik actually does. Local Tap House & Kitchen is a hub for the community and takes pride in this status. Their website even credits the local craftsmen and purveyors who helped build it! The food is sourced straight from farmers so expect the freshest produce! Their craft beer and cocktail selection are outstanding, making this a great spot to enjoy a relaxed drink and meal.
