Roseacre will soon open in La Jolla, an incredible addition to the beloved neighborhood. This one-of-a-kind restaurant will offer its visitors two important details: fresh, California-forward food and incredible design details.
The new hot spot is brought to you by a familiar name – none other than Paul Basile, the creative mind behind many of SoCal’s most iconic hospitality spaces. The list includes San Diego’s Born & Raised, Raised by Wolves, and Morning Glory. He’s now partnering with his fiancée and long-term collaborator, successful designer Jules Wilson.
The design at Roseacre – a love letter to La Jolla
This partnership is exactly what makes Roseacre such an exciting spot. For the first time, these designers are fully stepping into the world of restaurateurs, bringing together incredible aesthetics and delicious, local food. So what will the vibe be at Roseacre? According to the founders, it’s nothing but a love letter to La Jolla, its people, its coastal beauty, and its hunger for innovation.
Every inch of Roseacre will aim to evoke a feeling of comfort, curiosity, and craft. Expect to see a mix of old-classy, with modern touches, inspired by the textures of the coastline. The brand new restaurant wants to become a cornerstone of the dining scene in La Holla, where people love to gather, celebrate, and savor amazing food.
Speaking of…
The food? Yet another love letter
To bring their vision forward, the dream team will be joined by chef Erik Anderson – and his past experiences would impress just about everyone. Erik has helmed 2 Michelin-starred kitchens, Coi in San Francisco and The Catbird Seat in Nashville. When it comes to his art, he’s known for pushing boundaries and having a deep respect for its ingredients. Keeping that in mind, the Chef created a light, fresh, California-forward menu, centered around hearth (open fire) cooking. Think seasonal products and seafood, such as amazing crudos, grilled fish with citrus and herbs, and vegetable dishes that will have you question: “Can vegetables really be this good?”. The menu will rely heavily on local farms and tides.
Roseacre opens its doors this summer – are you as excited as we are?!
