What if we said you could do some good, while enjoying delicious ice cream? Is there a better weekend plan out there?! The 8th Annual Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival, Southern California’s only homegrown festival dedicated to this treat, returns to North Park on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Taking over the intersection of 30th Street and North Park Way, the event features over 30 local ice cream, gelato, and paleta makers.
About Scoop San Diego

At its core, Scoop San Diego is driven by a simple but powerful motto: “Do Good. Eat Ice Cream.” The festival was created to celebrate the local dessert scene while supporting under-resourced communities. This year, the festival is launching a brand-new partnership with Feeding San Diego. 100% of the event’s net proceeds will go toward their mission of connecting families and individuals facing hunger with nutritious food.

With over 7,000 sweet-toothed attendees expected, the festival promises something for everyone. Tickets ($45) are completely shareable among families and friends – you get 10 two-ounce tasting portions from participating vendors.
For the ultimate enthusiasts (so all of us?), the $90 “First Scoop Experience” grants early entry starting at 11 AM, priority access, limited-edition merch, and a special ice cream-filled Korean cream puff collab.
Beyond the obvious main attraction, the afternoon (from 12 PM to 4 PM) will feature family-friendly fun, interactive activations, live music, and even a Pup Refreshment Area for our doggies.
It’s the perfect excuse to treat yourself while making an actual difference in the local community. You can grab your tickets at scoopsandiego.org – bring your friends, your appetite, and your best vibes. See you there!
