Tacos El Franc has a reputation across socials, with tons of Tik Toks praising the no frills spot as one of the best taco spots they’ve ever had in TJ (or anywhere, for that matter).
Tacos El Franc has been open since 1996, but the owner, Ramiro Valdez had a small independent taco spot since the 80s, where he perfected the ingredients of his tacos so they could outweigh the competition and keep people coming back for more.
Now, Tacos El Franc has quite the reputation, known in TJ, San Diego, and LA, and appearing in an episode of the Netflix series, ‘Taco Chronicles,’ which is why we couldn’t be more stoked to find out San Diego is getting its own location.
Tacos El Franc is expected to open in early summer 2024 at 3030 Plaza Bonita Road, Suite# 1108, in San Diego’s South Bay, where they promise to bring the same level of quality to SD.
Think juicy suadero, their most popular carne asada, and al pastor made with the juicier part of the pig, the pork loin. They also do quesadillas, mulitas, beans, and delicious vegetarian tacos with all of the fixings.
