The tee times for the two opening rounds of this year’s U.S. Open were announced on Tuesday.
The defending champion Bryson DeChambeau will go up against Hideki Matsuyama and Tyler Strafaci. For the first two days, DeChambeau will not be playing next to Brooks Koepka, to the dismay of many fans. Koepka will instead play with Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa. Here’s a look at the full list of tee times for the first two rounds. The U.S. Open will return to Torrey Pines this week! It will be the first time since the famous 2008 Open. That year Tiger Woods had a legendary victory, playing with a broken leg. Unfortunately, Woods won’t play this year, given he is still recovering from his February car accident.
There are several interesting stories to follow this U.S Open. For example, Phil Mickelson, who owns a home in San Diego, and his quest to win this tournament for the first time! Phil is looking to complete the career Grand Slam. At 51, he recently became golf’s oldest major champion, winning his sixth major title at last month’s PGA Championship.
