Zuma has officially announced it’s making its highly anticipated California debut right here in downtown San Diego. When? This summer! Taking over a sprawling 12,000-square-foot space at the historic Guild Hotel on West Broadway, Zuma brings its signature blend of contemporary izakaya fare and electric social energy.
But don’t expect a standard hotel restaurant layout. True to its international reputation, Zuma San Diego is designing a stunning indoor-outdoor concept that blows your mind as soon as you step in. Instead of walking through the hotel lobby, guests will enter through a dramatic, private tunnel. You’ll be able to approach the main dining room from an outdoor terrace. Once inside, expect low lighting, natural materials, and an atmosphere that balances modern Japanese aesthetics with hotspot buzz.
What’s on the menu?
The menu will focus on high-quality, authentic dishes flowing from their famed Robata grills. Many say that the star of the show is their black cod marinated in saikyo miso. Alongside, you’ll find world-class sushi and an ambitious craft cocktail program. With seating for over 250 guests, this summer opening is already set to completely redefine downtown’s fine dining landscape.
