Bacari, the beloved L.A.-based Mediterranean wine bar, made its highly anticipated San Diego debut. The new dining destination breathes fresh life into North Park’s iconic building at 3823 30th Street, a space long cherished by locals as the former home of Urban Solace.
What’s the vibe at Bacari?
Embracing the structure’s distinct New Orleans-style architecture, co-founder Robert Kronfli has designed a 4,000-square-foot interior that marries Old World European elegance with neighborhood-inspired touches. You can expect a welcoming atmosphere, vintage rugs, rustic stonework, and colorful Mexican tiling. Bacari also features a lush, plant-draped patio – an idyllic outdoor retreat.
Great news for music lovers, too! This spot has live blues & jazz performances every Thursday to Saturday night. Check their IG page for the latest schedule.
What’s on the menu?

The scratch-made menu focuses on globally influenced, Mediterranean shareable plates. Enjoy creative dishes like shawarma tacos, glazed pork belly, and ‘Moroccan cigars’ (stuffed with lamb & chicken). If you’re looking for something more traditional, you can’t go wrong with wood-fired pizzas and handmade pastas.
Bacari also has a weekend brunch, with favorites like shakshouka, ceviche, chilaquiles, Chef’s French toast, and other delicious dishes. To complement the food, 2 full bars will pour craft cocktails. Don’t forget to try their famous Bacarita, with tequila, watermelon, jalapeño, basil, lime.
The legend of Bacari

Founded in 2008 by brothers Danny and Robert Kronfli alongside Chef Hillel, the Bacari brand is celebrated for its warm hospitality. While the North Park outpost marks their first venture outside of the greater L.A. area, the trio is already actively expanding their footprint – right here! A second San Diego County location is set to open in Carlsbad later this year.
