- Pay first
- Do not step on plants
- Do not jump over rows of strawberries
- No other bags or containers
- No pets
- No purses, backpacks or baby bags
- No overfilled buckets
- No long stems
- Children 3 and under are free but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
You can also grab pre-picked buckets of fresh berries at the stand.
A local legacy

While you’re snacking on Albion strawberries (a variety known for its exceptional sweetness), it’s cool to know exactly who you’re supporting.
The Carlsbad Strawberry Company isn’t just a roadside stop, but a piece of local history. Run by the Ukegawa family, this is a 4th-generation farm that’s been a pillar of Carlsbad agriculture since the 1950s.
They have weathered decades of changes in the region. From rising water costs to stiff competition, it’s been a ride. However, by sticking to quality and community connection, they’re still here today.
While The Carlsbad Strawberry Company is famous for producing roughly 21 tons of strawberries per acre, they’re also behind the beloved Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze in the fall. It’s a family operation that has successfully turned a working farm into a space where the community gathers year-round.
So, head over to Cannon Road, and support our local heroes, while you enjoy those delicious first strawberries of the year.
