Davis-Horton House

Dating back to 1850, the Davis-Horton House holds the title as the Gaslamp Quarter’s oldest surviving structure and is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. Each room us authentically styled to reflect its specific time and purpose. It’s an amazing journey into the past, allowing you to glimpse the everyday life of early San Diegans.
You can deepen your experience with a self-guided tour, learning facts about the home’s former residents and their influence on the settlement once called “New Town.” Alternatively, the audio tour offers a more thorough account of the house’s critical role in shaping early San Diego. Besides, organized walking tours explore the wider Gaslamp Quarter, shining a light on buildings restored from the 1880s through the 1920s.
