The Del’s Sparkling Winter Wonderland Is Entering Its Last Week Of The Season

By Secret San Diego December 23, 2020

Holidays at The Del presents Coronado with covid-friendly ways to celebrate the season.

Although The Del had to forego its usual Skating by the Sea rink this season, 2020 brings with it holiday cheer in different ways. This year, head to the Windsor Lawn for a winter wonderland transformation that is sure to dazzle you silly.

The hotel’s famous red turrets are sparkling and shining bright, draped with thousands of shimmering lights. Prepare to be blown away by towering holiday trees, evergreens decked out in festive ornaments, and glamorous garlands that would have even Whoville taking notes!

Guests can expect snowy surprises and lots of holiday fun. Photos with Santa are no longer in the cards this season, but guests can still ooh and aah at The Del’s massive 35-foot holiday tree!

Before heading home, be sure to stop by and pick up some holiday crafts to do at home! Families can purchase kits to make festive favorites like faux gingerbread houses, snow globes, Santa hats and decorative holiday ornaments. Prices range from $8 – $12 per kit.

Winter Wonderland runs through December 31 (New Year’s Eve).

Location: 1500 Orange Ave, Coronado

Hours: 5pm – 9pm
