San Diego is known for being a healthy city. Most of us love hiking, getting outdoors, exercising, and we get to fuel ourselves with an abundance of amazing health foods from nourishing bowls to delicious vegan options.
It’s not surprise then that San Diego is holding the city’s biggest vegan festival in Balboa Park. The event is a free Earth Day celebration that’s presented by Vegan Food Popup and features 140 sustainable vendors from food to products. There’s even animal rescue groups.
Aside from vendors, there’s plenty other activities to do. The festival is all ages and has a couple of kids events called the Healthy Eating Plate Challenge and a bean art activity.
There are also stages for music and educational speakers. The music acts are an eclectic list of folk, blues, country and an old school DJ. For educational speakers, there are two chefs sharing their secrets on good vegan cooking and zero-waste lifestyle tips.
The event has free entry and parking and takes place from 11am – 5pm.
The event is at Park Blvd and President’s Lawn and you can get more details and the full vendor list at their website.
