September is finally here!
As the season changes from Summer to Autumn, we will continue to bring you the best things to do in San Diego! Here are 12 amazing things to do in our sunny city this month!
1. Disneyland’s Halloween Time
Disney’s Halloween Time is here, and we couldn’t be happier! From September 2 to October 31, celebrate Halloween at Disneyland Park at the Haunted Mansion, which Kack Skellinghton decked out in the holiday spirit! Other attractions include the Main Street Pumpkin Festival and, of course, Halloween Screams. There will be fireworks on select nights. At California Adventure Park, the Guardians of the Galaxy return to rescue a teammate from spooky Halloween monsters. There are other festive surprises to enjoy! And luckily for us, it’s only a 2-hour drive away!

2. San Diego’s Haunted Homes
Throughout San Diego’s rich history, the city has garnered quite a range of ghost stories from our famous residents, be it sailors, soldiers, gamblers, and more! We’ve made a list of the spookiest and supposedly “haunted” places in the city! And best of all is that you can visit them…if you dare!
3. PSL Season
Autumn might still be a few weeks away, but PSL season is officially here! Is it us, or is Autumn coming earlier and earlier every year? Though San Diego will remain as sunny and bright as usual, we can’t help but join in the autumnal fun! Who knows, we might even take out our light jacket from the trunk of our car! Regardless, we will be drinking plenty of PSL (though we might get it iced) this season, so we decided to round up our favorite coffee shops offering this iconic drink.
4. International Film Fridays
Enjoy the best of that cinema has to offer two Fridays each month. The Films are screened with English subtitles at 4 pm and 7 pm. This film series takes place in the Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium at the Carlsbad City Library complex. Two films are playing this month. On September 2, watch Final Set, a French movie about a 37-year-old tennis player who decides to compete in the qualifying rounds of the French Open. On September 16, you can watch Belfast, a 2021 British coming-of-age drama film written and directed by Kenneth Branagh.

5. Festival of the Arts
On September 10 & 11, San Diego is hosting a spectacular celebration of the arts. This marks the 36th anniversary of the festival, and it will take place at the San Diego Surf Sports Park in Del Mar, California, on Saturday and Sunday.

6. San Diego Zoo Tasting Night
Get ready for an elegant evening in The San Diego Zoo. This coveted event is back on Saturday, September 17. If you can snag a ticket, you will enjoy an evening at the zoo with delicous food and drinks!

7. Art Walk in Carlsbad
The latest ArtWalk will take place in beautiful Carlsbad and will be FREE to attend! The event will highlight fine art by artists who travel from all over the US and Mexico to show and sell their work. This Art Walk will be particularly lovely since the venue overlooks the ocean. There will be so much for attendees to explore, learn from and buy! Mark your calendars for September 24 & 25. The event last from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

8. Bates Nut Farm Pumpkin Patch
The Pumpkin Patch is open from September 17 to Halloween from 9 am to 5 pm, which is plenty of time to soak in as much autumnal fun as possible! They also offer free Parking and Admission on weekdays, making this a great place to visit throughout the fall season. However, there is an $8 Entrance Fee Per Car on October Weekends.

9. Oceanview Brunch at The Med
A delicious brunch with breathtaking ocean views sounds like the perfect sunny San Diego day. La Jolla’s “Pink Lady.” will have their decadent brunch every weekend along with live music from local bands from 11:00 am-2:00 pm. You have to try their La V cinnamon roll topped with pink icing and fresh berries and their Lobster Benedict!

10. Retreat Pool & Cabanas
At San Diego’s first casino, Sycuan Casino and Resort, you can now get day passes for the resort’s pools and cabanas. You can book the ticket anytime between 9 am – 1 pm. You can also get tickets for their Night Swim from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

11.Picnic In The Park
San Diego is lucky to have pretty amazing weather year-round, which means the picnic season is pretty extensive. So having a wonderful picnic day in September is a must. Plus, if you time it just right and you can enjoy the pink and orange glow of those show-stopping sunsets San Diego is known for.
12.Mission Bay Beach Club
The Mission Bay Beach Club is bound to be San Diegans newest hangout spot. This lovely destination offers a range of activities to keep visitors entertained as they enjoy gorgeous waterfront views. They have a beautiful coffee shop, ice cream stand, a beachy boutique, and you can rent t¡retro bikes. They have fun events thoughts the month and a restaurant and other attractions coming soon.
