San Diego’s popular fright-fest, Scream Zone, is rolling back into town with a new terrifying experience.
Halloween may look a bit different this year, but The Scream Zone won’t let a pandemic stop it. The haunted experience that has been attracting San Diego’s terror lovers for over 23 years, is putting a whole new spin to Halloween and taking the scares to the streets with their new Drive-Thru Scream Zone.
To comply with the new COVID-19 regulations the creators of Scream Zone have readapted Del Mar’s ‘Scaregrounds’ into a new experience where guests can still get their frights from the comfort (or shall we say discomfort?) of their own vehicle. Cars will roam through a mile-long course featuring scenes from classic horror films and original ones created by the Scream Zone, especially for the occasion, with killer clowns, zombies and murderers as your only roadside assistance.
The haunted drive-thru attractions include Dead End Truck Stop, Satan’s service station, Horror Icon Way where you’ll find all your favorite fiends like Jason and Chucky, a clown alley (no need to describe this one), Zombie Carnival Row and so much more!
Drive-Thru Scream Zone: Road Kill is opening October 1 and will be welcoming guests until October 31, every day from 7pm until 10pm (11pm on Fridays and Saturdays). Tickets for vehicles of up to 4 people cost $45 ($55 Friday through Saturday) while those for vehicles of up to 5 people are $60 ($70 Friday through Saturday) and can be bought online or in-person at their box office which is open at the same times as the drive-through.
