Art lovers and music enthusiasts got to enjoy a super unique exhibition this summer: “Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys.” Now, there’s one last chance to experience it before we say goodbye.
‘Giants: Art from the Dean Collection’ closing party
On Friday, August 7, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego is hosting the official closing celebration. Located at the museum’s La Jolla campus, the event promises to send off the highly acclaimed exhibition in a big way.
The celebration is designed to merge visual art, music, and local culture for a fun community send-off. The festivities kick off right at the front of the museum with a lowrider showcase, where you can catch classic, customized cars.
Then, we move on with a great musical showcase. The night is headlined by Joe Kay, the visionary founder of the influential global music collective Soulection. Alongside, enjoy a specialized lineup curated by cultural tastemaker DJ Sasha Marie.
A major highlight of the evening is a special conversation presented by ArtLeadHer. It will feature curator Mashonda Tifrere and Lisane Basquiat, offering deeper insights into contemporary art and legacy.
Thanks for the memories!
‘Giants’ has brought an incredible selection of works by Black diasporic artists from the world-class private collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys to SoCal. This closing party is the ultimate way to honor its impact! Tickets for the August 7 celebration are available now for $65 for non-members. Members get 10% off. You can get them here.
