One of San Diego’s longest-running cultural event is back! Now in its 55th year, the annual San Diego Greek Festival returns to North Park on June 13 – 14, 2026. It’s hosted at the St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church since 1972 – and it’s no generic, touristy street fair. It’s a genuine community celebration, where the menu is crafted (and sometimes made) by those who grew up eating it.
What to expect? Amazing Greek food
The food is the undisputed main event, and if you’ve ever been to Greece, we don’t need to tell you that.
Head straight for the open-air grills. The signature lamb chops are consistently mentioned as the festival’s highlight. Leave some space for fresh-baked spanakopita (spinach and feta wrapped in crispy phyllo), saganaki cheese, and honey-soaked baklava. You can wash it all down with Greek beer (go for Mythos) at the Opa! Beer Garden, or a crisp glass of wine at the Oracle Wine Lounge.
Beyond the menu, 2 live bands will play traditional and contemporary Greek music, while dancers performing in authentic regional costumes.

Greek Festival San Diego – know before you go
- Parking: Street parking in North Park is….a challenge. Take advantage of the free parking and shuttle departing from the SD Unified School District lot.
- When to go: Usually, Saturday evening offers high-energy atmosphere, while Sunday is a bit more relaxed.
- Tickers: There’s a $5 suggested donation. Free for kids 12 and under, active military, and first responders.
