Summer is officially here, and our beautiful city is packed with festivals, community events, free parties, and so much more. Here’s what you can’t miss this June in San Diego!

San Diego FC and FOX 5 have announced a 39-day “Soccer Celebration” to serve as San Diego’s premier fan destination during the FIFA World Cup 2026. Running from June 11 through July 19, the free, all-ages festival will primarily take place at Belmont Park, Mission Beach. Here, you can enjoy the 104 tournament matches, live music, interactive fan activations, and special guest appearances. In addition to the main hub, SDFC will collaborate with the City of Chula Vista and the Downtown Little Italy Association to host viewing parties for select USA and Mexico group stage matches.
There are many ways to enjoy the summer air, while enjoying the comfort of your favorite movie, in San Diego. One of our favorites, San Diego’s longest-running free outdoor movie series is back for the summer, with screenings happening nearly every weekend at parks across the county — from Ocean Beach and Pacific Beach to Julian, Chula Vista, and beyond. The Jazz Room: A Frank Sinatra & Louis Armstrong Tribute is an intimate live music experience that celebrates 2 legendary jazz icons through reimagined performances. The 2026 San Diego County Fair returns from June 10 through July 5, bringing back one of the region’s biggest and most beloved traditions with food, rides, live music, entertainment, and family fun. Celebrating community, culture, and summertime excitement, the fair offers weeks of unforgettable experiences. And this just in – Demi Lovato takes the stage on June 24!

If you’re looking for a uniquely San Diego way to spend a weekday, join ‘Remote Work Wednesday’ at Petco Park on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Get ready to party! Taking place on June 27 and 28, this much-awaited electronic dance music event will take over Waterfront Park. With its iconic downtown views and splash fountains, it’s the perfect backdrop for dancing the weekend away. This year’s edition is headlines by EDC stars Martin Garrix and Tiësto, alongside James Hype, Lost Frequencies, and more. GA start at $114.
‘Do good. Eat Ice Cream’ this June at the 8th annual Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival
The Scoop San Diego Ice Cream Festival is a highly anticipated annual summer block party that transforms the North Park into an ice cream lover’s paradise. It takes place on June 28, and the event gathers dozens of Southern California’s finest artisanal ice cream, gelato, and paleta vendors. Beyond the delicious samples, the festival features live music, family-friendly activities, and a joyful community atmosphere. With your ticket, you also benefit ‘Feeding San Diego.’

Dinos Alive: An Immersive Experience in San Diego is a family-friendly walk-through dinosaur exhibition, featuring more than 40 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, including T. rex, Stegosaurus, and Spinosaurus. Explore exhibits covering the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods, interact with virtual prehistoric sea creatures, and enjoy kid-focused activities such as a paleontology-themed play area and dinosaur rides. Sabor Del Barrio is a one-day food and cultural festival in Barrio Logan. It takes place on June 7, and it celebrates Chicano cuisine, art, and community. You can enjoy tastings at more than 35 local restaurants, bakeries, breweries, and coffee shops – plus free admission to several museums and galleries and complimentary trolley service throughout the neighborhood.

If you’re catching a World Cup game this June, Yelp crowned San Diego’s Shakespeare Pub & Grille the No. 1 sports bar in the United States. This spot is known for its soccer-focused viewing atmosphere and scratch-made British comfort food. Established in 1990 by British expats, the cozy pub is famous for its fish and chips, real ales, and a devoted community of fans.
Check out San Diego’s first NASCAR weekend

In a historic first, NASCAR is coming to San Diego this June! Find the action at the Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. This event celebrates the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Navy and marks the first NASCAR race to ever take place on a military base. Fans can enjoy 3 days of high-octane racing, headlined by stars of the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.

The Tustin Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off, recognized as the world’s largest one-day chili festival, is returning to Old Town Tustin on June 7. Located less than one and a half hours from San Diego, the free-entry street festival features competitive chili cooking where teams compete for trophies and potential entry into International Chili Society competitions. Alongside the main event, expect live music, a classic car show, a salsa competition, food vendors, craft booths, and beer gardens. All proceeds from the $2 chili tastings benefiting local nonprofit organizations.
Give back to the community at Bro-Am Beach Fest

This free, all-ages beach festival brings together more than 15,000 attendees for a full day of live music, surfing, food, shopping, and fun. Highlights include a beachfront concert headlined by Switchfoot, exciting surf competitions at Moonlight Beach, local vendors, plus interactive sustainability initiatives that encourage everyone to help protect the environment.

Leucadia Summer Fun on the 101

Summer Fun on the 101 is a vibrant musical celebration held just one block from Beacon’s Beach in beautiful Encinitas.
