San Diego food lovers – big weekend ahead! FoodieLand returns to the Del Mar Fairgrounds, bringing one of the largest traveling food events in the country right to our beautiful coast. Come hungry, leave happy!
FoodieLand at Del Mar – what to expect
The event takes place between May 1 – 3. FoodieLand transforms the fairgrounds into a lively night-market-style experience, with more than 250 vendors serving global street food, fusion bites, and over-the-top desserts. Beyond the food, the festival features artisan shopping, carnival-style games, and live music. Therefore, this isn’t just about the food – it’s a full day out!
If you’re new to FoodieLand, it’s known as the nation’s largest food festival. It emphasizes community, and highlights local businesses, alongside trending vendors from across the country. It’s the kind of place where you can sample everything from skewered street snacks to viral dishes. One thing’s for sure – you’ll find bites and plates that you’ve never seen or tasted before.
Know before you go

Timing matters! Friday evening tends to be the most relaxed, while Saturday nights draw the biggest crowds. Tickets must be purchased in advance online (no sales at the door), and parking is handled on-site. Organizers recommend carpooling or public transit, due to high turnout. Tickets start at $12.
What’s on the menu at this food festival?

Here’s what you can usually find at the fest:
- Asian street food stalls (dumplings, skewers, ramen)
- BBQ and smoked meats
- Gourmet burger and loaded fries stands
- Pasta in all shapes & sized (cheese wheel pasta, fried mac’n’cheese balls)
- Dessert specialists (churros, mochi donuts, soft serve)
- Specialty drink vendors (boba, lemonades, mocktails – that you’ll sip from a giant cow-shaped bottle, and other fun containers)
- The iconic lumpia buckets
- …and more
With its mix of food, music, and festival energy, FoodieLand offers a full evening out. It’s an event no foodie can miss!
