The Blank Table, a concept founded by two Coronado natives who were childhood best friends, aims to redefine “nights out” in San Diego. There’s something great about returning to favorite spots and having that meal that will never disappoint. But, there’s definitely magic in the unknown, too. And that’s what this project explores, one dinner experience at a time.
Each time you participate in one of their dinner experiences, you can count on a couple of things. Your food will be brought to you by world-class culinary talents – we’re talking celebrity chefs, Michelin-starred chefs, or James Beard finalists. The dinner will include a five-course pre-fixe menu, with pairings by some of San Diego’s top mixologists. The venue? Won’t be what you expect, and probably, not a place you know. It will feature a communal table that encourages connection, decorated with beautiful flower arrangements. The menu? Outstanding.
The catch? You only get to know where you’re going and what you’re about to eat 24 hours before the event.
So what is The Blank Table? Simply put, an elevated pop-up dining experience rooted in storytelling, creativity, and connection.
The concept wants to ignite a sense of togetherness…and what better way than through great food, drinks, and creativity? To reinvest in the local community, the menu features seasonal and sustainable ingredients. Moreover, a portion of every dinner’s proceeds is donated to Feeding San Diego.
