Great new, San Diego: spring is officially on the horizon! And after a rainier than usual start-of-the-year, we’re more than ready. It’s also time for one of our favorite seasonal highlight. The beloved Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch, a breathtaking springtime staple in San Diego, are returning for their 2026 season. Built upon nearly 85 years of floral cultivation that began with early horticulturist Luther Gage in the 1920s, this stunning coastal destination will open its doors on Sunday, March 1, 2026. It runs through May 10, 2026.
The Carlsbad Flower Fields
Wander through 55 spectacular acres of giant Tecolote Ranunculus, which cover the rolling hills in vibrant, rainbow-colored rows. Set against a stunning coastal backdrop with sweeping ocean views, it’s the ultimate spot to soak in the upcoming season, make unforgettable memories, and take some gorgeous shots. You can also explore interactive attractions, shop local vendors, and enjoy family-friendly programming that kids will love.
